Severn Stars is a newly created Vitality Netball Super League Franchise with its inaugural season commencing in 2017. Owned by the University of Gloucestershire and the University of Worcester, our founders Anita Navin and Mick Donovan are already showing the strengths of partnership working.
As an overall mission, we endeavor to empower women and young people to shoot for the stars, regardless of where they come from or what their aspirations are: To be the best that you can be, whether an international representative or to be a shining light delivering in your community – we will support you!
On Court, we are an exciting club, creating a professional environment and setting the highest standards for being a professional athlete. There will be 3 current England internationals and Stars from Australia and Trinidad joining our ranks , which is testament to the belief and ambitions of the Severn Stars.
Off Court, we want to truly engage with the communities and share the passion and benefits that this Netball franchise can bring to the wellbeing of supporters.
