After their disappointing trip to the capital Seven Stars return home to the University of Worcester Arena to play Welsh side Celtic Dragons, looking to claim their second win of the season.

The Stars have just over forty-eight hours to recover from their 64-35 defeat to London Pulse in round six of the Vitality Netball Super league. On Monday evening the Stars take to the court for their second game in round six against the Celtic Dragons, who sit bottom of the table and have yet to record a win this season

The last time the Celtic Dragons took to the court was in a 50-37 defeat to Seven Stars last opponents, London Pulse. Dragons have had some close encounters in recent rounds, with a five-point defeat to Leeds Rhinos in round four and a seven-point loss to Saracens Mavericks in round two.

The last time the two sides met was in the final round of the regular season in 2021 where it was the Stars who came out on top 45-39 in a close encounter, where the scores were level at half time. It was the third quarter that proved pivotal with Stars out scoring Dragons eleven goals to six. This resulted in the Seven Stars doing the double over the Celtic Dragons, where a good performance in the final quarter closed out the game for the Stars, with Paige Reed being named player of the match.

The first time the two sides met was in the 2017 season where the Stars recorded a home 53-46 victory and an away 50-59 win to secure the double over the Welsh team.
