Severn Stars U15 Academy (School Games Squad)

Severn Stars U15 will represent the franchise in the School Games Squad for the 2023/24 season.

Sport England or England Netball have in previous years organised a tournament for the U15 Players (athletes that are U15 at 23:59 on 31st August 2023- born on 1st September 2008 or after), this is called the School Games. This is a residential tournament where a wide range of sports compete, it is designed to give young athletes their first experience of proper competition and high level sport in there designated sport.

If you wish to trial for the Severn stars U15 Academy Programme you will need to sign up using the link below by 31st December and pay for the trial fee, Once you have paid for the trial fee, we will send you a form to complete to collect information for trials.

Trials will be held on Thursday 4th January from

6pm-9.30pm at the University of Worcester Arena, WR2 5JN

Athletes should attend wearing dark coloured non club kit, ready to play and train for the session. Registration will be open from 5.30pm. No payment can be accepted on the day; you must have registered and paid ahead of the session.

Before booking please read the eligibility criteria for being able to attend trials, there are NO refunds.

Eligibility criteria for an NSL Team’s Under-15 Academy programme trials in January 2024 are:

Athlete is Under-15 at 23:59 on 31st August 2023 – born on 1st September 2008 or after.
Athlete is currently part of an any EN Player Pathway Programme, for example:
County Player Development Programme.
NSL Team’s Academy (NPL)
NSL Team’s Player Development Programme (PDP)
Athlete is an EN member.
Athlete was registered on ENgage as a member of the England Netball Player Pathway Programme by the time when they attend the trials in January 2024.
All athletes attending trials MUST be linked to their Player Pathway Programme on Engage. Please check that this has happened, as we cannot offer a place to any athlete who is not linked.

IMPORTANT:

Athletes selected for NSL Team’s Under – 15 Academy in January 2024:

Athletes who are from County Player Development Programme stay with their County programmes (January – May) while they attend the NSL Team’s Under-15 Academy programme activities.

Athletes who are from different NSL Team’s player pathway programme will have opportunity to decide by Sunday 4th February 2024 at 5pm which NSL Team’s pathway they will attend (after trials in January) – athlete can not be member of two NSL Team’s player pathway programmes (e.g NSL Team 1 – Under 17 PDP and NSL Team 2 – Under 15 Academy).
